Reporting Covid case during conduct of practical exam 2021
The Central Board of Secondary Examinations has come up with the latest notice on the guidelines of reporting covid-19 cases while conducting the practical examinations. Looking at the staggering increase in covid cases the authorities have declared some latest regulations on changing the practical exam centers. The board has clarified the following things –
In case, the student is unable to appear for practical examination due to Covid-19
- If any registered candidate is unable to attend the examinations due to being infected by the novel coronavirus, or any of their family members are covid positive, the school is liable to conduct a practical exam for the student at any appropriate time as per the ongoing circumstances. The school authorities may consult with the Regional office for organising a separate practical examination for these candidates.
- The letter “C” must be added in front of the name of the respective candidate while uploading their marks to the official CBSE portal.
In case the candidate has made a special request for changing the center of practical examination
- Due to the ongoing circumstances, many students had to shift to other cities or countries, which are far away from their registered practical exam center. So, CBSE is offering the opportunity to the students to request change and choose a nearby practical exam center. For such students, the authorities must add “T” against their names while uploading their batch marks on the official CBSE portal. Click here for dk goel accountancy class 11
Supply of Marks
If the practical examinations of any candidate are re-conducted under the CBSE guidelines, the Regional offices will be concerned to send the marks on the manual award list. However, the schools may also preserve a copy of the duplicate copy of the Award list for further emergencies. The envelopes of both the Award list copies were sealed and signed by the External Examiner and the observer. The authorities will ensure the security of the document. While the marks sent to the Regional offices will highlight the “NOT TO BE OPENED” message on the envelope.
Note – If any candidate fails to report on the re-conduct date of examination, his/her marks will be computed without the practical marks and the status will be passed under the Examination Bye-Laws.
